Kick the kickstand question around
« on: April 28, 2005, 11:42:04 AM »

I know there was a couple of posts complaining  [smiley=brood.gif] (and mishaps  [smiley=oops.gif] )about the angle due to the bike being lowered. Parking and having to lean past center to put it up is a real pain. [smiley=thumbsdown.gif]
I found where you get get a kickstand angle plate (like 5 %).
Has anyone tried a plate or substituted their kickstand alltogether and what did you use?
Muchas gracias

I just installed a 5 degree wedge on my 2001 Road King, part number 28208, I believe Drag may have these in stock, my scooter has not been lowered, but from day one, had very little lean while parked on flat level surface, it was blown over last year while parked on side of road at Bethod Pass in CO, south of Winter Park, during a rain storm

This is the only place I have found with an application for models after 99. I guess no one has tried this on their SEEG...

JPcycles
Big Twin Kickstand Angle Plates
Billet aluminum wedges bolt in between your kickstand and frames to change the kickstand angle by about 5°. These are especially useful to cure the lean angle problem on lowered bikes

530-318  For added lean on lowered 5-speed FLT, FLHT, FLHS and Road King® 1993-2005  $27.99

Just to bring some older conversations up to this one, this issue has been covered at the following three threads;

*  Centerstand Chrome Display Stands
*  STUPID MISTAKE!
haaaa haaaaa and for me and all the lady SEEG riders;

*  Re: Must Have Changes For New SEEGs ...

[smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

I wonder if the kickstand angle plate would not only reduce the lean angle, but would it make it easier for me to reach my kick stand?   [smiley=nixweiss.gif]
