Thats quite scary - 83 cents between unleaded and diesel. Before you know it it''l be a Dollar difference. I thought it was cheaper to produce Diesel than unleaded petrol.

Nige,
The difference here has been around 80 cents per gallon for a long while.  Makes no sense.  When I first started driving diesel pick-up trucks back in the early 90's diesel was around 70% of the price of gasoline.  I suspect this is a "Green" thing.

Just paid $1.59 this morning for regular at Kroger with the .10 discount. Also note Tennessee has one of the highest "at the pump" fuel tax rates in the country. That and the 10% sales tax is why we don't have a state income tax, yet!

$2.89 diesel at Hess...Nice to fill up for unner a cnote...Could drop anudder buck though.  NO i did not buy any Krispy Kremes, but they had a Godfathers pizza that called to me.  And a bud tall...

Used to be a factor of diesel refining, now there are many fewer refineries as they have been converted over to petrol and the addition of "clean" diesel last year was an excuse to raise the price as well.  It was easily a dollar different here from regular at the peak of pricing but has now narrowed to 70 cents or so.

Gas is cheaper in Florida plus it's warm enough to ride all weekend.   :huepfenlol2:

The ride last night was a little chilly (40's), but fun.  And gas is below $2 most places now.
