Don't think my message posted...I had dyno'd at American Eagle HD, Denton.  This is first bike I've ever had a race tuner on.  I did based on input from reading off the site.  It changed the bike complelty, it really gets going now.

Did your gas mileage tank?  Mine went to 35.

I get about 150 miles to the tank with it tuned the way she is. Does anyone every have a problem starting and the motor sounds like it's coming undone? I'm getting ready to go in this monday to have the rear cylinder leak fixed and I'm wondering if that liner in the rear cylinder is causing that start problem. It does it about ever third start and when its hot.It really sound bad!!!

What a convenient thread! I had what appeared to be some oil on my motor last week; not a major concern but I mentioned it when I took it in for my 5000 mile service. Yesterday went for a almost 200 mile trip and upon returning noticed that I had oil all over the motor and pipes. Not that it was 'running' out but it appears that the gasket between the 'head' and the 'jug' on the front end is leaking some oil. Since this was yesterday I won't have time to drop it off at my dealership until tommorrow. But it appears I won't be riding for a little while. At least I won't have to pay for it!

If u have a problem with the bike starting and it sounds like the motor is coming apart it will be the automatic compresion release i had mine replaced at 5,000 miles      Steve

Thanks SPW. I will bring that up to them when I take the bike in tomorrow. How did they determine it was the automatic compression release? Can they plug in and see an isue with it?

They can do a compression test to determine if the automatic compression releases are working or not....

I'm not sure if a bad automatic release is the cause of the other problems happening to these motors but it seems to be the start ,Then comes the oil leak and then the crank runout problem. Steve

ACR's can't be blamed for anything other than hard starting and may aggravate a problem if you have a brittle ring gear. They can't affect the gaskets or crank runout.

Unless you possess Howie's bad luck and they blow clean out of the head taking the threads with them and short the ECM fuse and strand you along a highway several hundred miles from home!     ::)  (sorry Howie...)
