I have never noticed any buffeting - not even at 100+ mph.

Back in 1983 I had a Honda V-45 Magna with a Vetter Rooster fairing.  Up over 100 mph the buffeting was terrible - worst I have ever experienced on any motorcycle.

The Clearview and the chrome air baffle cleared up some of the buffeting for me.

I've been riding with the Clearview 9.5" with the recurve for about a month now.Halleluyah!. I'm 5'10" and the air bubble now goes way over my head. I had the same problem in that at 65+ my head and gshades were all over the place. The new recurve let's me look over the top in my normal riding position-no stretching or ducking- and no wind. I actually odered a second one from their blem catagory as a spare.

The wind buffetting we are feeling is coming up the tank and beats the hell out of my ears.  I would like to be able to figure out a way to get wind deflectors on there.  I dont mind wind but not buffetting in my ears.  I have tried tall winshields, clockwerks etc, but that is not where the problem starts. I have 5 bikes, and 2 previous Ultra Classics that this wind buffetting was not an issue.  Would someone please come up with proper wind deflectors?  Thanks

Give the Chrome Front Fork Air Baffle P/N # 58520-79TC a try. At $25 it is very reasonable and helps a lot. Until a few year ago the Touring bikes used to come with that part installed (black), now it is available as a chrome part.

Ride safely,

Im using a 8" inch dark black one.

I have a 8" smoke recurve that pushes the wind an additional 2".  It work great with the wind baffler that came on the touring models for years.

I have the chrome baffle but looking now at the recurve next.  I have 4 other shields that haven't helped....whats one more!  seriously it is in the larger fuel tank the 08 has that has to be dealt with.  Need to get inventive on some kind of lower deflector.  This is the only reason I haven't enjoyed riding this bike.  The wind buffetting is so bad that I can't hear the stereo going down the road it is just extra noise.  rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Im going to buy that air baffle today.  It's low cost and maybe it will help a bit with the crap that seems to float up from nowhere in between me and the windshield.

Where it appears that it would mount has a flat surface so I imagine it's a matter of drilling a couple of holes there to accomodate screws that I imgine come with it?
