Wendy and I took off with a few other couples for a little 550 mile roundtrip to a sleepy little place in west Florida. The reason..?? Oysters...this place has the best one's anywhere!

Got in the room, what a view, then broke out the Knob Creek to 'get in the mood'  After a while we all stumbled down for the feast. I had 2 dozen steamed and a dozen Rockefeller. Wendy's such a chicken, she would'nt get near them. Says they're just not made to be eaten. That just means more for me.

Was there in January and you are correct on the oysters...very well known around the southeast...gald you enjoyed the trip.

Caroline's.  Boss Oyster.  The Gibson Inn.  The Hut.  Just a few Apalachicola houses of culinary delights.  Well, the Gibson Inn's pretty to look at, anyway.

Been there a bunch but not in a while.  Thanks for the memories.
