Come on Hoist, over 5,000 people are waiting!
Well, the slacking continues. I'm at work, and can't post pics from here. But ya'll are in for a real treat! No York pics, but the pics from GH&Rocky and Binx&I's ride to Bill's Old Bike Barn yeasterday! Warning: Get ready to be bombarded! Ya'll don't know what you missed not going there!
We had a great time on this trip. Don, thanks again for putting this together. Thur's group dinner was excellent and everyone, thank goodness, couldn't stop thanking me. I'm thrilled everyone enjoyed it. Fri's tour was what I felt was a "bum's rush" through a dead factory. But this group made this trip fantastic, not HD! Fri afternoon was a run with a group to Baltimore's Inner Harbour, not before a stop at a great BBQ place. We made it back before the rain, unlike the group that went to Gettysburg.
Sat's ride to group breakfast follwed by the ride to Centralia was a little chaotic at first, since the restaurant never told us they'd end breakfast and then close before lunch. And nobody was in the mood for their $18 lunch buffet, just to get a sandwich, so we found another place to accomodate the group. Then those that wanted to continue riding followed Duane on a beautiful tour of the area, basically ending in Centralia. Thanks for throwing that together Duane! Not much to see there at all besides a few smoking holes in the ground. On top of that, the locals seemed to have turn this place into their private garbage dump! Most left from there. Duane&Deb, GH&Rocky, and Binx&I continued up to Shamokin to pick up PA's Tail of the Dragon, Rt 125S from out of Shamokin. What a ride!!! As you can imagine, I told Duane and Howie that I'd meet them at the end. You know I wasn't holding back any longer and Cybil need to do some stretching excercises in the twisties!!! WooHoo!!! What a blast!!! GH, the girls and I blew back on I-81 and I-83 just before the storm set in. He wanted to stop to put the raingear on. I said let's GTH outta here now and beat the storm! So we did. Rocky wasn't thrilled by the 85-90 MPH jaunt back to York, but beat the storm we did! But we had no choice but to get 2 cabs for dinner to get the 10 of us left, back and forth to dinner.
We said our goodbyes on Sun morning to all except Jim&Karen who left early. The Vags, the GHs, and The Hoists grabbed a last group breakfast, then the GH's and us headed up to Harrisburg to pick up Rt 11N along the Susquehana River to Bloomsburg, home of Bill's Old Bike Barn. And this boy's got a lot of work to do on that Zumo! Right now it's a POS to me, but strictly as a result of operator error. But I can honestly say that at my knowledge level with it, I can blow that thing away with a free old fashioned road map. That damn thing doesn't listen to a word I say and was ready to pull it off and chuck it in the Susquehana!

We headed over to a local B&G for som early dinner, then the GH's and us went our ways and headed home. Got in about 9:30, unloaded the bike, and was in bed by 11. This is my first thread since just signing on for the first time, and opened up 13 pages of "Show unread posts since last visit". That's why I didn't logon last night. I knew I'd never get to bed if I did! So if any af this is redundant to things described in other threads.......TOUGH!!!

And BTW, except for that annoying breather oil puking, Cybil performed flawlessly (except for her gas cap falling apart in front of Laugerman's HD which 3 mechanics there couldn't fix and of course none were in stock. I managed to fix it and get an old style one out of them for free JIC!)), and was a blast to be riding her again. She's got about 1500 miles on the new engine now. never higher than 3500 RPM and never more than half throttle, but now ready for the 4K plateau. Don't ask me how, but I'm managing to maintain self control so far. And so far so good she's running too!!! But I'm pretty much ahead of most at 3500 and 1/2 throttle as it is. So if she were able to go WFO right now, I'd have been riding alone anyway! Didn't ride with anyone that wanted to push things, so that was fine with Cybil and I this time. But in KY, I hope to get some Rocket Riders together! Don't matter to me if they're Redneck or not! All Rocket Riders are welcome!!! Bringing her in for another oil change this week. Looking forward to stretching her out further on the KY trip at the end of May!
Great seeing everyone at this GTG. As usual, our gatherings are always a whole lotta fun! If you've never been to one, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU WAITING FOR!!!

Hoist!
