two good suggestions from fired00d, also check out J&M audio; I've seem them, and while they look like quality speakers, I have to admit I have not heard them.   A good friend installed Hogtunes, they sound great, and he is very happy.

Ht's are a nice upgrade over stock..  If you want the best, get the Hawg Wired.  I wouldn't get the J&M because the magnets look big, but if you lift the plastic cover, they are not.

Emailed Hawg-Wired a couple weeks ago and they said that rear speakers should be available from them in 4-6 weeks. Didn't want to do the fronts and not the rears. As soon as these are available a call to Jim is in order. Did allot of research and the Hawg-Wired really look like the best for our systems. Dave

just for the record...it is not the physical size of the magnet that matters...it is the strength of the magnet that makes the difference.

Never thought about that. Aren't all ceramic magnets the same strength/oz or are they graded? Why not use  Neodymium or Cobalt magnets? Cost per oz is greater but force per oz is too. Not challenging here, just curious.

NO! Sorry. The magnet material makes all the difference and you can't tell by weight or size. Having said that, the Hawg Wired system is the best. I tried the Hog Tunes and, yes, they were better than stock. Absolutely nothing compared to the Hawg Wired setup. Talk to Jim (HDDude). And trust me on this... get the amp too. It is pricey but it's really the only small solution to getting the volume I know you want.  ;)

I've got Hog Tunes as well, but only because I couldn't find a Hawg Wired dealer in Toronto.

The HTs are better than stock... but the difference between HT and HW is like a transitor radio compared to a home stereo!

Anyone know where I can locate a reliable HW dealer/installer across the border?

Hey Murph, I just did a quick search on the Hawg Wired web site and it's not looking good for you.  There is an HD dealer just south of Pittsburgh in Washington, PA called Steel City Harley and an independent dealer in Sandusky, OH called M&M Cycles.  Both would be about 4 hours from Buffalo.  HDdude is a dealer who can offer discounts and is excellent from what I've read here at walking folks through the installation themselves.

Also, Chief had a post a week or so ago saying that one set of speakers is compatible with the stock amp and other is not.  It's a 4ohm vs 2ohm thing and the Hawg Wired system requires a Hawg Wired amp.  I'm interested in leaving the stock amp under the tour pack to power the rear speakers but adding the fairing amp, lower speakers and replacing the stock fairing speakers with HW products.  I don't know if rear amp removal would be required for this configuration but I know others have sold theirs on Ebay for a good buck.

So - does anyone make "drop in place" replacement speakers for our CVO Hogs?
