replaced rear head gasket #1
replaced front head gasket #1 (only because they replaced the rear, did both at same time)
replaced leather tour pack (warranty) for wearing through where upper lid rubbed against lower half lip.

no faults with wife, still on number 1 after 34 years.  ;)

*Replace cylinder gaskets at 2800 miles
*Chrome peeled off end cap on throttle grip (waiting for 8 months now for replacement)
*Top-end noise -- was told its normal >:(

Same BSR for 30 years.  Lots of mechanical problems - too bad there was not a warranty to fall back on.  She has cost me plenty, but worth it!

Just a few

1. complete engine replacement @1000 mile service
2. passing lamps were hazed over, dealer replaced with new (but was too busy to change so now I have extra's if you don't mind the haze on the lens)
3. Bike didn't have the key fobs at delivery.
4. left lower liner was missing at delivery

that is all I can remember for now

My list is getting longer:

08 SERK: 29,000.00
Rear Cylinder liner slipped
Ignition Switch Cover broken
Tombstone Tail Light fell off
Rear Shocks slow leak

03 Fat Boy: 16,000.00
Never been in for a warranty problem, or any other to date.

I think we have a quality control problem going on here.

Same BSR for 30 years.  Lots of mechanical problems - too bad there was not a warranty to fall back on.  She has cost me plenty, but worth it!

Ok, New Problem:  HK stereo started switching from FM to Weather Band all on it's own.  Last Saturday we were on a 300+ mile trip, so I kept switching back to FM from Weather Band (you can only listen to so much Weather Band).
Before we got back home, it was stuck on Weather Band - would not change at all! >:(  Anyone else had this problem?

At first, I thought that it might be the mode button on the hand controls, but after it stuck on Weather Band and would not change at all, I am thinking it is in the stereo.

I will be taking it in for warranty - just not sure which dealer :confused5:  Not impressed with either dealer in OKC.....may take it to Tulsa.  I am going to request (again) that the top end noise (rocker box clearance) be fixed.  If I am told again that it is normal or that it will eventually quiet down, I am calling in the MoCo and pitching a fit until they do something. ;)

-  front head gasket X 1
-  Rear head gasket X 1
-  Steering head loose
-  Rocker clearance
-  engine miss
-  keyfob/alarm failure

Just curious, what was the cause of the engine miss, I think mine is doing the same intermittently.

Some friends of mine tell me I've been married and divorced so many times that I qualify as an "expert" now. :huepfenlol2:

But I'm not sure if one of them count.  I got married and divorced in the same drunk......six months later. :nixweiss:
