Just thought of something on the dual controls question.  The sales guy told me they did offer it on the big Goldwing saddles.  Perhaps that distinction is where the question comes from?

I know I saw it here and both Reggab and myself commented  on it but I just spent 15 minutes trying to find it with no luck.  Gary, where are you?  I haven't "DooD'ed" the thread yet.  I thought I saved it but, NOT!

In a thread about Corbin seats someone mentioned the ability to get one with dual controls.  I posted in it and Henry did also but I don't remember when.  It may have been in October or November.

Remembering that is what caused me to ask them recently D00d.  That thread was a hearsay reference so, well.... Couple of weeks ago the sales rep at Corbin was led to believe dual controls would make a difference on whether or not he sold a saddle (and got his commission).  He still said no.   :nixweiss:

Hehehehehe. You made it easy for me when you said Henry and you had posted in the thread. I searched "seat" with you as the "user" (poster). :2vrolijk_21:

Just spoke with a rep at Corbin. As we speak he is trying to get in touch with R&D for info on the dual controls and has assured me that he will call me when he has the info regarding future availability. It has been discussed there recently and according to the rep the vendor who provides the heating element has been working on something. Stay tuned....

Howie, before getting it I was skeptical.  Not after using it some.  Used it for several hours on the trip back from York during 40 degree temps on Sunday.  It's surprisingly nice to have the option and really easy to come to enjoy having availalbe.

The sales guy told me they were better now about more even heat between front and rear then when my black seat was purchased four years ago.  They were just starting to offer the heated option then and, apparently, didn't quite have all the bugs ironed out of it.

FWIW, I like it enough that had it included in the seat for the Road Glide I just ordered.  So for a bike that will have only one seat as an option I chose to get it.

Never had a heated seat and never wanted one either. Then I got the heated Corbin for my SERK. THAT HEATED SEAT IS THE CAT'S ASS!!! Never will I order another Touring Seat without it. Get the HEATED!!! :2vrolijk_21:

Ordered mine better than a week ago.  I really wanted dual controls for heat, but it ain't happening right now.  So, we'll see how the regular heated seat works out.  Can't wait to get it.

Dual controls would be nice.  My butt is fried on low sometimes and my daughter says leave it on.  I sometimes can't wait for that hour to be up so it will go off automatically.

Have you ever wanted it on high for more than a couple of minutes warmup?  Coming back in wind and drizzle and temps of about 40 for a couple of hours last weekend I almost turned it off from low before it finally cycled out on its own.  Even in cold temps that high setting will roast your chestnuts.

Don,
Are those backs the regular or the large size?  Are you having any issues with the Ost, seat pressing out?  I was told not to get the Ost because it will eventually press out.  I wanted to go lighter to brighten up the bike a bit but ended up ordering the baby black gator middle with black snake on the sides...will show pics when it comes in...they say 4-6 weeks.  Thanx for all of the information and views...cant wait for it to get here now.
