The body is a 1950's "Cold-Spot" refrigerator. Now that's re-cycling :D.
Total cost-$410 including swivel hitch. Weight empty-141 lbs.
Pulling a trailer is not for every-body but I take the summers off and tour so it's nice having some of the extra's with me. Plus it keeps the extra weight off the bike except for the 20 lbs of tongue weight.

I see it now :2vrolijk_21:

Wasn't sure what the large handle was on the top center...thought it was some sort of locking mechanism.

We recycled one of the old refrigerators many years back into a fish pond in the back yard. We still use one on the farm to keep medications for the animals in.

That's one cool trailer! Will you be bringing ice cream and beer to all the functions?

Firechief2,

I have never pulled a trailer with a bike just wondering how much it changes handling and braking fully loaded?

Handling doesn't change much --- if anything it feels a little more stable in heavy cross winds. I always allow a little more distance for stopping (there is extra weight back there pushing you).
This is the second one I've built. I pulled the first one behind my BMW LT and had no issues in over 60,000 miles. The hardest part is setting up the axle properly -- I put extra toe-in on it to make sure that it tracked well --- you sure as hell don't want the tail wagging the dog !

Here is a shot of my 08 with my old Bushtec Trailer painted to match my old 2000 Screamin Eagle Road Glide.  Gotta get it painted Copper Canyon & Silver.

Another shot from the read of the trailer.  Oh! I just return from Daytona Beach Bike Week and got wet and dirty.
