Any problems haveing too many items bolted on battery connectors?

The latest version of the battery that Harley is now selling actually has a handy little improvement.  Along with the normal threaded hole for the battery cables themselves there is a second threaded hole in each battery post.  A place to mount things so the first one doesn't get too "full."

To bad they don't make a horn that screams like an eagle but :bananarock: real loud.

Good to know Don.  The 03 and the 05 both have the original batteries.  Will buy MOCO batteries when I replace.  We carry Interstate's but their threaded posts are actually loose nuts that can be a PIA..  Heard nothing but good about the MOCO batteries.  Thanks!

There is only so much room there, and your fingers start to get bigger in proportion to the number of lugs.

Having 5-6 times just gets tough trying to start the bolt.

There are 2 usable blank spots in the fuse box if you are so inclined to take advantage of them

I think I would have gone with that horn if I had seen it before I bought these. Oh well, I'll have a chance to get it once the flutes pop off mine. As a consolation - this horn is very very loud.

AD2, I'm intrigued enough by your air horns to take them off your hands in the event you replace them.  Would you replacement because they are a little big and take up too much room?  I'd like something louder.

These were on the bike when I got it...and they are large, but they are freaking LOUD. :bananarock:

Changing MC's lately I find myself hitting the horn on a left turn - embarrassing as hell since the mofo's are so loud.

DOH!!

That's still better then hitting the start button instead of the right turn signal :huepfenlol2: .  Those combined left and right turn signal switches on the left side always give me an aneurism.

Jester, they're really not too big. I think they look pretty sharp with the overall feeling of the bike. I have read where the first versions had a habit of flutes breaking, but I haven't had a problem yet. They'll get their first real workout in a few weeks with the ROT Rally trip. I can't imagine any louder than these, so I do like them from that standpoint. As long as they hold together I'll keep them.

You original post implied you weren't thrilled with them.  Maybe I'll get to check them out soon.  I love what you've done to the bike and would like to see the whole thing, not just the horn.

I actually like my KLR turn signal better - all on the left side just forward or backward, just have to remember to turn it off...

Getting me moving from bike to bike.  Oh well, there are worse things then being "horny" on my CVO.

Like everyone on this board, my bike will always be a "work in progress". I'm pleased with the horns, but when I'm idling I look down and see how the flutes are shaking and will be surprised if they don't snap off at some point. I know HD has had a problem with theirs doing that and the necks on these are a narrower, so we'll see.

This Mini-Beast air horn is way better than stock or the Stebel elcetric I took off.  I highly recommend it.

Boatman...you sold me.  Got mine installed Friday and it's way better than the air horn I had before. Thanks for the tip  :2vrolijk_21:  I do need to find out what fuse block 2Lane used on his cherry.  I have too many wires on the battery lugs.

Glad you like it.  We have to thank Virginia Eagle for his bike in York for the demonstration and medallion.  It's probably the best looking loud horn you can get.  Others may be louder but don't look quite right, at least to me.  Bob

I've had the Mini Beast horn for a couple of years now and other than a crack in the top chrome cover from vibes. I love it "Loud Pipes and Horns Save Lives"
make sure your using a waterproof relay is my only suggestion

This is a great company!(Pro-Pad) I called this morning trying to buy a new chrome cover for my mini-beast. They are sending it to me at NO charge!  Never expected that kind of service. WOW, there are some good people and company's out there. (just harder to find these days)
Ride on my friends.
