CUSE3 and Smart Siren II
« on: May 06, 2008, 10:30:20 AM »

Does the CUSE3 have the Smart Siren II installed from the factory?  I bought the Pager Receiver II, but I can't encode it.  I assumed I had the smart siren because the bike "chirps" when armed/disarmed plus it has a siren that goes off if you move the bike without the key fob nearby.

Thanks

Interesting, Guess I fell for it too.  I was assuming since it had the siren it was the "II" but alas, checking the spec's and HD website I'm guessing it's not the same.  Guess $34,995 was not enough to include the "II"?

It doesn't.  Remove the Siren "I" you paid your hard earned dollars for when you bought the bike.  Throw it away.  Then buy install the latest and greatest on the the bike that should have been there to begin with.

Unlike the Smart Siren 1, I have never been able to disable the arming and disarming audible tones on Smart Siren II.  Anyone know how to do this?

Hehe! Yeah, there's a few minor things that need to be replaced with an upgraded version...

But remember to keep the 9 volt rechargeable battery in it, there a bit expensive.

To switch from Silent to Chirp mode or vise-versa.....

1. With the Fob present, the Ignition Switch ON and the system disarmed, turn the ignition Switch OFF.
2. When the system arms (2 flashes of turn signals), immediately turn the ignition switch back ON
3. Wait until the security lamp goes out, then immediately tun the ignition switch OFF
4. When the system arms (2 flashes of turn signals) immediately turn the ignition switch ON and wait for system to Disarm.

cheers

Here's the best way to disable the Smart Siren II.  Take it off and send it to me!

Thanks Piper,

That process only works on Smart Siren 1 and not Smart Siren II
