Normally wave - any bike - any time (except rallies)!

it only takes 40 of us to kick in 2 bucks.......I will kick in my 2 bucks

how about Don, Chip and Howie?

Maybe Sally Struthers will help, for only $2.00 a month you can keep Dood in hinges, just think, that's only pennies a day...and your help will go a long way towards making Dood a happy man.

First of all, I always wave (except at Sturgis).  And if the wave is not returned, I give them one of these  :sauer021: only very stealthy so as I don't get my arse kicked.

Second, count me in on the Hinges for Gary Charity Drive.  Its funny that he claims that tour-pak is never on his bike, yet there it is on his avatar.  Hum... :nixweiss:

Good catch there Travis!
It's do as he says, not do as he does!
Have to wonder if the folks in Joplin will expect him to have hinges to stay there!

Geesh!! How many times do I have to explain it you guys. :wall:

The tourpak was purchased  with the bike for the sole purpose of travelling. Since owning the bike the tourpak has been on a total of 4 times. The picture in the avatar was taken on Tale of the Dragon when I was leaving NC headed to OH. When I travel if I'm going to be somewhere for a couple of days the tourpak comes off.

But, heh if it'll make you guys feel good buy the hinges. :2vrolijk_21: They still will not get installed. With my limited mechanical abilities I'm not getting anywhere close to my painted tourpak with a grinder, and damn sure not taking it to the dealer to let them do something like that to my bike (for their first time doing it).

P.S. Since the topic is about waving here is a wave for all the Chitheads that want me to have those damn hinges. :sauer021: :sauer021: :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:

OK

I can take a hint.
No hinges for dOOd.
How can someone be a moderator and be so ungrateful?
Everyone raising money to get him some hinges please stop.
He doesn't want them!
Let's find another good cause to support and spend money there.

And for the record, I will still wave at dOOd even if he doesn't have those much desired chrome hinges!

Not ungrateful. I'd say thanks, but I know my limitations when it comes to wrenching. Me getting close to a painted tourpak w/a grinder, dremel, or any such tool is a disaster waiting to happen. :nervous: Taking it somewhere and letting my tourpak be the guinea pig for some tech to learn how to install them ain't happening either.

Okay, so lets see if i understand you.  Your not opposed to the hinges as long as we buy them for you, and an experienced installer puts them on for you.   :confused5:  Who do we know that has installed at least 2 sets of hinges, and has been a real chithead about you getting a set.  hmmmmm...who could that be... :nixweiss:

 Sorry Neal.  How about, "and owns two red bikes."  That should narrow the field somewhat.   :2vrolijk_21:

Umm, we (installer, bike/tourpak) would have to be in the same place/time for that to happen. Not sure if the hinges alone would be a/the reason for a trip to Joplin. :nixweiss:
