The rack does work with the lid frame to make it more rigid, but thats probably over kill unless someone sits on it or puts something heavy on its while being stored. It does look cleaner without it though.  Doc

Bill,

The bag I use for sleeping bag/Pillow/bed roll/jackets has no straps, is zippered, and waterproof.   I got 4 extra tie down points on the rack (2 per strip) and use the normal hook elastic tie downs.

The only thing that flaps and is butt ugly on my scoot is the driver....

Yup, you do carry more unfortunately.  It is nice to free up the bulky space that the rack pack is used for.

I wish I could strap on a 2 gal gas can behind the cooler -- sometimes I need gas a lot more than ice cold beers.

Maybe that would be a good justification for a new bike with 6gal tank and abs!

Did they let you know how long it would be to get your trailer painted to match?  Will you have it by MV?

Good point, you will be running out of gas quicker pulling a trailer.

But at least you'll have plenty of room for tennis shoes, an umbrella and an empty container for your walk to a gas station. ;D

You can  :orange: Put the cooler inside and strap Two (or one) 5 gal jerry cans on the cooler rack Hold'em in place with Heavy rubber Bungie cords --  :2vrolijk_21:

The Turbo II is a bottomless pit until you reach your destination, then it fills up fast. I would start negotiating for space now before its too late.  :nervous:  Doc

Guy's I have to disagree with the more gas thing, Soozie rode her's the same bikes and I pulled the bustec and I didn't use anymore gas then her! she has the stock 5sp and I have the 6sp. And about the luggage rack! I don't have it, and I think it looks better, but there's times I'd like to set things on the top and can't.

My two cents

You can work a deal on the wheels about 50% off just order the trailer and when you go to pick it up ask about the wheels (before accepting the trailer) and John will knock them down! Hook the trailer up and ride around the block and they become full price  ;)
