I ride my bike with a nut on it all the time! On top of the seat! :huepfenjump3: :huepfenjump3: :huepfenjump3:

Seriously, it depends where you dropped it. If it was dropped between the frame somewhere you'll be fine. It'll fall out (or not). But if you think it's near any moving parts or engine intake, I'd try to find it. I hope you replaced it though. ;)

Don't worry. It's hard enough to keep all the nuts that are supposed to be there in one place, let alone those that aren't in the right place. She'll be gone soon. Put on another and ride on. ;)

I spend more time looking for dropped fasteners and sockets than it actually takes me to do the job.

If you haven't already and are concerned that it may have fell in a place that could do damage (intake/moving part) get a telescoping magnet and search. If that's not the case forget about it and ride. :2vrolijk_21:

Couple observations

A) One of the reasons my garage floor is carpeted is so stuff that falls off doesn't bounce under something and I either can't find it or convince myself it's somewhere on the bike still

B) If you believe it may be on the bike, start the bike up and blip the throttle a few times. Anything loose should fall out

C) When dealing with fasteners in places where if dropped they might find themselves in unreachable places, take a shop towel or something similar and lay it under the work area. Again, the soft surface will keep the item from bouncing as well as not allowing it to fall down through

You could always go to a supply house and get a nut.

Hopefully they'll be in today. After I make a run in the semi to deliver a load of steel, get three construction crews started, a sub contractor started on a new project, unload two additional loads of steel on another job, andmake sure payables are paid today, I'll check on the tires. LOL

Knowing you, you probably got started at 5:00 this morning, so what are you going to do after lunch?
