Oh no.  This would just be one more place for a problem.....weak/non-functioning/expensive-to-replace/etc push button release made in China.  Hope they don't go there.  :-X  har!  :drink: spyder

It would be chrome, and of course the wa*&$gdamty doesn't cover chrome.

There would not be problems.  Just ask your local HD service department.  CVOs don't have problems!   :bananarock:

At some point, I fully expect that all site members will have weighed in on this thread since it is such an apt description of all of us.

Not that they have seen themselves.  If other dealers are having problems, they have not heard about it in their shops.

  I would take the bike completely apart to find that nut. I cured my nut for seat problem farely cheap I magnatized the screw to the positive side of a magnet and the Philips to the negative holds it in place like superglue until I pull the screwdrive away AFTER the screw is tight. Yeah I know sounds to easy huh! :pepper: :2vrolijk_21:
good luck hope that nut doesn't get under the drive belt!!! NOT GOOD!!

Never droped a nut, BUT after coming home from TN. yesterday I had a vibration that was coming from the front it turned out that all but one screw that holds the front light housing in place all came out. I took the chrome ring off and to my very happy surprise all but one screw was laying inside the o'ring.

Does anyone know what the NASCAR teams use to glue the lugnuts to all the wheels in the pit they have ready for those 14 second pit stops.?

Whatever it is, hardens up but will still break free easily. Seems like it'd be great for starting nuts in places where you strain to hold the nut and start the bolt

It's actually what we (decades ago when I was a wrench) used to call "buffalo snots".  That Weatherstrip adhesive from 3M.  Used to be a yellow color only and now they have black, too.  I picked up some lug nuts after a NASCAR race at Loudon just to see for myself.  Its stays very tacky, but you can peel it off cleanly.  That stuff will stick anything to anything.
