OH yeah, that's right.

 [smiley=oops.gif] sorry hd-dude!

I took my pipe off the make that mount a rubber mount.

I see that area as a weak spot in the Rineharts and the Freedom pipes.

Chip, what did you use to make the mounting bracket a 'rubber mount' ??????   [smiley=confused5.gif]  spyder

Chip, let me take this opportunity to say... [smiley=worthless.gif]!!!! How'd you do it? I thought of using a rubber mount for an oil bag from a Shovelhead frame but they are only 1/4" bolts and would be too thick to fit between the pipe and starter bracket without some mods to one or the other.

Yeah, Chip, you been around here long enough that you shoulda seen that comin'.  I would spare a rookie the embarrassment of what I'm about to do to you, but can't look the other way for a seasoned veteran of the site like you, so here goes:

Bill, your photo is a lot better than mine, but our cracks were in identical places on the pipe.  Do you have any leaking from around the clamps where the other pieces of the exhaust attach to this pipe?  I am at the edge of the torque limit on the clamp that attaches the left-side exhast pipe to this one (the one directly behind the engine) and still have an exhaust leak. Yeah, 'er 'uh, Spyder,
 I think Chip was referring to the instructions Gerald gave me, when I reinstalled my rear Header pipe.  Put rubber washers with the flat washers, and do not TORQUE!  Just snug them up!  Later--HUBBARD

I was feeling a little warm coming home Friday...it was 95-100degrees...but it was mostly my right leg.  Waited for the bike to cool down and took a look and yup, Cracked Again!  Same place, I did not bother to take a new pic since the old one would be identical.

I am planning a trip to Norfolk and then over to the BRP and Skyline Drive in Sept.  Need to get this fixed since it is still a warrantee item...next time, and I have no doubt that there will be a next time, new pipes...gotta read those 2-1 vs. Rhinehart threads more carefully!
