SE Air Cleaner Backing Plate

Is there a chrome a/c backer plater for the 2008 Ultra SE? I was at the dealer today and they said no just the plain aluminum version. Anyone know for sure? Also, is it round or teardrop shaped?

Typically the air cleaner and the back plate form a unit and are mounted together. While the stock back plate is made of some plastic material, the one for the SE air cleaner is aluminum. The only round chrome backplate I've found on the market for '08 in AN big sucker...

If you want to maintain your stock football cover, the only stage one option you have from the MoCo is part number 29260-08.  That has the aluminum back plate though.  There are aftermarket chrome backplates, see below, but I don't know if the football cover will work on those.  :nixweiss:  If you can wait, I'm sure the MoCo will come out with a chrome version.  If there's money to be made on a part, the MoCo will come out with it.  Garonteed!

I can confirm there is not one for a 2008 SERK. They should take the same one. All the have is the brushed aluminum looking one for the 08 SERK.
