How often do you do IT?
« on: June 21, 2008, 11:57:05 AM »

Happy Saturday. A group of us are going on a 2500 mile trip for the week. I have about 1300 miles on the synthetic oil now. I think it's OK to do this trip without changing oil? Am I correct? Kevin

Dino oil, Synthetic oil, hell if they find oil on Mars, I'd still change it every 2,500 miles.

I don't know...I heard Martian oil is good for 7500 miles or two flame-outs, whichever comes first.   :P

(MoCo says 5000 miles between oil changes, so you should be good to go. ;) )

People change synthetic oil WAY too often.

Between 4000 and 5000.  Especially with synthetic.  Takes the heat a lot better...

You change oil because it's dirty and has contaminants in it . 15k I guarantee is not good, talk to someone that works on engines and see what they say.
