I did not mind paying full retail at the Kuryakyn trailer because the tech told me if I din't like it I could return it.  I went to my bike, changed it and went back to tell him it was fine.
My real motive was to be able to write a review for my brethren on this board, I took on for the team, $20 worth.  20% off is nice, but shipping and having to wait is not priceless!

call me dumb but what does LED bring to the table vs the stock bulbs? Are they brighter, they probably use less energy but are they brighter? Thanks!

Generally so.  Though it can be a relative term.  The bulb and lens combination is more important with LEDs than with IC bulbs.  Some combinations don't show well no matter how bright the bulb is.  Some LED and lens combinations are also very bright in the envirionment you first think to look at them (at night) but can't be seen nearly at all when the sun is directly behind them.

In some research I read that a red bulb should be used behind a red lens, not white bulb.  Also, with LEDs, a flat lens is better than the circular pattern type used with regular bulbs.

I wanted it toi be at least as bright, but more important to me, reliable.  I've had several instances where someone told me that me only running light in the back was out.  I even carried a spare.  Now I think I'll have only a small chance of failure.

It's a printed circuit board with a bulb type socket base.  Simply plug it in like a bulb.  They even give you dielectric grease for the socket. Simple install.

Mine arrived yesterday from Kuryakyn, two or three business days so well done Deb (it said "sent by Deb" on the box anyway).  The first time together I had no running light.  Hmmm.  Back apart and it would flash if I wiggled the socket connector.  I think I had a little too much dilectric on the terminal since it seems to be doing okay now that I cleaned it off.  It does seem to be a little brighter for the brake light; the tail light about the same.  The instant on is more noticeable too.  So far a good buy.

Does replacing turn signals require a load balancer or just plug and play?  I've heard different things, even from Kuryakyn.  I'd think being electronic it should work the same.
