Chip, I don't know but one thing I noticed was that the RG and Fat Bob both had open A/C's w/ no lowers, which would certainly provide much more flow to the sucker.

Thanks for the pics.

Looking at the belly pic of the SEUC I noticed that the bow-tie across the underside of the frame is gone.

Also still not sure about the new exhaust on the touring bikes.  I have always switched to true duals to eliminate the cross-over pipe on the right side to get some heat relief.  The new factory exhaust looks like the rider would be dealing with a lot of heat on the right side and none on the left side. :nixweiss:

Oh, I forgot to mention, the SERG sounds like a cross between a Honda and a sewing machine. The SE Ultra and the rest sounded ok but the the SERG was very very quiet. We all commented that the SERG sounded like a GW. Will need SERT and pipes before it leaves the dealership.

Also my overall impression was a giant  :2vrolijk_21:. If they really do have the 110 fixed, they hit a homerun this year with all 4 SE's. They look much better in person than in either pictures or brochures. They really did look great in person.

So is this the same SEUC4 that Napalm rode and said was a dog?
It's the same color for sure!

Mark,

Awesome report my friend.  The photos of the SERG are awesome.  What a beautiful looking bike.  Never thought I would be saying that about a SERG, no offense to you SERG guys, but something has always seemed just a bit off to me with the fixed fairing and all(I know, I know it works though).  With that being said, I also don't think any bike out there looks better than the profile shots of the SERGs in general.  The new SERG, with that inner painted fairing, those nice 18" wheels, awesome paint (the HD photos don't do justice), just makes for an altogether gorgeous package.  Never say never, because I would sure own one of these!  I got a chance to see a brochure for the 2009 CVO's and it really shows some nice detail to the paint.  Lots of metalflake and that stripe with the little flames (sort of like eagle feathers) is a really nice touch.  Which color?  Orange and Black is the show stopper, but that Silver and Black is a refined beauty as well.

I was just asked which bike seemed to be getting the most attention, it was not even a contest SERG was far and away the bike receiving the most attention. The HD people told me it had been that way since they hit the road and it seems that by far the amount of deposits are coming in on the O/B SERG. The HD rep said it might be due to the fact the yellow and the silver are not out there yet and people are waiting to get a look before pulling the trigger. I asked about the SEUC since they only have the silver/orange color out there, he said that didn't hold true of the model it in fact was the slowest of the 3 SEUC getting deposits on. Red being the fastest, I understand :nixweiss:

Noat really as concerned that much how it sounded or how much power it had. How did it handle and how was the ride ? Thats the big thing this year. A brand new frame and reworked suspension is the big news

Mark, like everyone else...many thanks for the great shots.  From what I saw in your pics the eagle on the SERG fairing seems very subtle....not nearly as noticeable as the older SERG's.  Is that true?  If yes that is a disappointment to me.
I already have an email or two out to some dealers on it.
thanks
Warren

Warren, it is not nearly as pronounced as the older SERG. I'll get a better shot of it when I'm there tommorrow.

A interesting perspective, reg26......and I wonder who's got access to the difference in the weight of the new touring frame vs. the older one?  It sure looked beefier/heavier....but I couldn't tell if it was actually lower in the middle/seating area or if the stat. of the lower seat height is less padding in the seat.  :-\ spyder
