I'm not sure if the the detachable chopped tour pack is an option or not, any way the four bikes were lined up next to each other. I just got a quick glance before the book was closed abruptly but damn did that road glide stick out.

Especially relative to its day.  The first SERG was a visual reach compared to the standards of the day.  It was "out there" for factory production.  Since then the look has progressed to the SEEG and then begun to mellow a bit.  But compared to today's contemporary standards across manufacturers and over the counter paint sets for something to be as dramatic and new now as the SERG was in 2000 would require neon glow in the dark paints and counter-rotating tassles.

That is one of my three biggest interests in the release tomorrow.  Frame change relative to impact on handling/suspension.  Not just frame itself though.  It'll take a few days to gather the great detail but will want to see its accompanying swingarm and how that swingarm is hung.

What I was getting at is with just a quick glance I was fixed on the road glide, which means I could not tell you the colors on the Fat Bob, Spinger, or the Ultra. The color that grabbed me was the Black Orange and White road glide. Appeared to be(but maybe not) the same front rim as on the 08 SE Road King. Had a dark smoked chopped windshield did not have a tour pac did have the eagle head going up the side of the solid mount fairing And oh that beautiful orange.

I was just kiddin' 110 guys.  Really can't wait to see the bike.  Don't expect I'll have any interest in trading, but at the same time, I do hope it's something to get excited about.

That is a comforting confirmation.  Some of us have discussed before a preference for some sort of homage to, if not direct continuation of, the big assed bird on the fairing.  It's the iconic look of what has so far made the SERG the bike it is.  Having the old grand daddy birds being able to watch a new flock will be a nice thing.
