Here's two charts. First one is the dyno sweep at 20%, 40%, 60% and 100% throttle I believe. Actual measured torque, not calculated. Way different from what we're used to seeing on the dyno. But believe me, the bike runs better. Shows ya what all these different dynos/tuners do to real numbers. ;)

Howie,
This is what many (myself included) have been trying to tell members. Dyno runs should only be considered a tuning tool, and not an end all to what numbers they represent. Dyno sheets are just like any other piece of paper it will lay there and you can put whatever you want on it. The best (true) test to the way a bike is running relies solely on the "butt dyno". If after tuning a bike is running better, there is significant change in performance then (IMHO) the bike is tuned good.

The built-in Factory Pro Dyno!

Springer

What is the Mustang box on the bottom left of the picture?

Another drum so four wheelers can be tuned?

Just wondering?

The Factory Pro dyno uses Mustang Hardware.  Mustang manufactures the chassis including the covers.  All the components are designed by Factory Pro, the drum, the data acquisition box, the 4 gas analyzer and the software that runs it.  The cover you see is a vented cover for the Eddy Current brake.  I am in the process of building a new cover to customize it to say "Big Boyz Dyno Tuning".  It currently has the Mustang name and the Factory Pro name on it.

Cool!

The guy that tunes my stuff has a new dyno that has double drums for tuning 4 wheelers!

It's a 250 IX

Just wasn't sure if your had the extra drum!

Thanks!

I may have missed it in previous posts...........How did the rear cylinder get analyzed?

To get a sniffer into the rear pipe on D&D's, dont you have to remove the muffler and then install it, or was an educated guess done?

I do not have Fat Cats, I have Borzillas. When we tuned the rear cylinder we had to remove the muffler to get the sniffer into the rear pipe.

Common sense, I thought it had gone out of fashion.

That does it, I'm moving back to Maine ASAP

B B

I keep reading that your coming home. If so, ....when? There's a rally on July 19th in Skowhegan. It's being put on by Northern Leathers & Tattoo, which opened up a year ago this past April. The town is closing down all of Main St., opening a beer garden in the town parking lot and Bloomfields will also be serving. Got a couple of concerts set up, a poker run, bike show and lots of other things. Money raised is to repair the Indian. Should be a great time. Will you be around here then?

Sorry 'bout the  :jack:   :nixweiss:

Janine, most likely leaving within the week. I'll send you a PM once there. I expect to stay in Maine through the summer and head back to Cal by way of the MV gathering in September.

In the picture titled "Cybil all strapped in" (above), you can see 2 sniffers in the exhaust if you view it full size.  One for the front and one for the rear.  The front and rear pipe have a collector close to the rear wheel and therefor had plenty of pipe separating them allowing independent exhaust gas readings for each cylinder.

Almost forgot ... No baffle needed to be removed.
