Updates for the factory GPS in my SE Ultra
« on: June 26, 2008, 03:58:00 PM »

I have a Zumo 550 that I took off my old bike that I traded in for my o8 SE Ultra.  I like the Zumo, but would like to use the factory one because it is "there" and I do not have to take it off every time I stop for a meal.

The factory one is out of date and does not show exits and on ramps built over the past year or two on roads I frequently travel.  Does Harley have an update web site?

Bob,
According to HD Customer Service, you have to ask the dealer for any updated NAV CDs.  They don't provide a map update site on the web, just firmware upgrades.

There are two different "updates":

1.) Firmware (the operating system of the unit). That can be obtained from H-D. I doubt that there is anything new available.
2.) Maps. You can buy newer maps, if available. Compare the maps you have with the maps your dealer offers. With an '08 bike you should get recent maps for sure.

Ride safely,
