I use windex spray or foam on my chrome and find it works quite well spray it on a soft cloth and just rub it like you would remove spots from glass . Harley chrome is not real deep and i have noticed using a chrome polish tends to remove the finish after a while. Also I use Easy Off cold oven cleaner on the boot marks on my pipes. I put it on in the evening and remove it in the morning works great....

Windex for touch ups, Mothers chrome cleaner when it really needs cleaning.  As for the pipes, you'd be better off getting pipes with a heat shield where so you can't see the inner pipe.

Mothers chrome polish on the chrome parts...goes on easy..comes off easy....and leaves chrome looking great, As for blueing, I dont have a lot of experience trying to remove it....I have a set of upswept fishtails on my softail from Paucho, straight pipes. They blued soon after putting them on. I got a set of late model heat sheilds from a Fatboy. installed and covered up bluing

Blue magic on the aluminium and chrome works for me and I carry the old rag use to buff it off in my pocket for those little on the road touch ups.

We are hopeing that you will discontinue doing your 'touch ups' while on the road, Ride n Shine.... .....rather, pull off and get off before buffing the chrome......either that or this OCD could bring you a early demise.    Ride safe    har!  spyder

I had some burnt on bugs and some burnt rubber on the pipes on my Street Glide and went to the dealer to see if they had Mother's.   They didn't have that stuff but highly recommended what they used in the shop.  It's call Blue Job http://www.blue-job.com/.  It comes as a powder and all you do is dip a wet cloth into the power and then create a paste on the marred spot on the chrome.   This chit is impressive!!!  I have never seen something work this good.  According to the container it states it will not scratch or dull chrome.  It's for bluing, burnt on shoe rubber, golds, rust, fingerprints etc.  I couldn't believe how great this stuff works.  It's not cheap though.  Cost $14 for .5 oz tin of the stuff.  But it doesn't take much for it to work.  Highly recommend this stuff.  It's made by a company called Glass Restoration Specialists out of Tacoma, WA.
