Hey Hard10,, thought you would be intrested with this. The parts guy at my dealer just called me because he knows im interested in the Bluetooth. He just got word today that Harley is coming out with an improved BT module and it will be in next months new parts catalog. ..He said they would be availle by end of Aug.

Hopefully the improved BT unit has a lower price tag.

Thank you Sir for the information! I just found one on ebay but am scared that it wouldn't work. I figured if the dealer can't test these things how would I be able to trust someone else to know it works.

Welcome to the site Phil!

As of last night there was no replacement available on HD's website.

Too bad... I have looked at the J&M solution... But the rocker switch seems like a hack to me.

There are 20 HD dealers with the Bluetooth hands free left. They were discontinued due to lack of interest. NO SALES. You will have to purchase the overlay connector even if you have the SE.

The "Overlay Harness" is a fancy way of saying a new set of wires. The original does not have the pig tail required to plug the BT into. You'll have to take out the original harness and replace it with one that has the extra set of wires.

I didn't realize the number had gotten as low as 20. There were more out there a month ago when I checked so somebody's been buying them.

Would this be prett easy to do when doing say a Hawg-Wired conversion?
