I finally got the software installed on my laptop and downloaded map 528 to the EFI.  The didn't want to start right up but eventually did.  After letting it warm up for about 15 min I went for a ride.  My check engine light was blinking for about two miles then went off and the she was backfiring every now and again.  It's pulling alot harder than it was before the pipe and tmax installation but still sputtering every now and again, and even shut down on the road once. I took it by the dealership and quick diagnostics from my gauges said nothing was wrong.
Anyone else install the tmax with these symptoms? Sure would be pissed it my engine just blew up today.

If it ran normally before the installation and did not afterwards assume the latest change until proven otherwise.  That's always a good starting assumption.
