Now I definatley have some cam choices to look over, anybody got any thoughts on roller rockers? Worth the money or not?

I felt that the best, lowest friction, strongest racing chit I could find would hold up best in my motor. So I'm using the TP roller rockers that came with the TP ProVent RB's. I also used Feuling .120" wall adj pushrods, racing lifters, camplate, oil pump, and their engine fastener kit (including studs and headbolts). On the 110, get rid of them POS HD barrels too. I used the Axtell barrels w/CP pistons and Cometic HG's, and guess what? No more leaks! ;)

Change your inner cam bearings to Torrington too!

But if ya want to go all the way, split the cases and convert to a Timken bearing and S&S forged crank too! :huepfenjump3:

I like the way my bike runs now exept for the fact that it dies at 4k rpm. Not looking to turn 6500 with 130hp just want a little more horse and a nice pull to say 5000-5200.  Not overly concerned with dyno numbers just "butt dyno". So in effect I'm not looking for a major overhaul with all bulllit proof S#*t, just looking for the best cam choice with what I have.

So Dennis,

If you have a 110 bagger with a D&D Fatcat and wanted boatloads of touring torque what combination of cams, throttle body, pistons and or whatever anything else you would recommend to go with to get that?
What compression ratio would you recommend also?

And if you want to pin me down on my definition of boatloads of torque that would be,

2500 RPM =  85 to 90
3000 RPM = 100 to 110
3500 RPM = 115 to 120
4000 RPM = 120
4500 RPM = 120
5000 RPM = 120
5500 RPM = 110
6000 RPM = 100

The 09's are coming and I would love to know my options!

Thanks

SBB

That is similar to the SEEG's curve.  So it's measured in boatloads?  Cool.  I'd wondered about that.  Now whenever someone asks if the SEEG runs well I can just say it runs "about 1 boatload" :bananarock: .

Our SERGs are close to one another.  What are they?  About .75 boatload?

On the fun scale they're ovbiously at least 1.2 boatload though :2vrolijk_21: .

Compared to your SEEG, .75 is about right.
But using the 1.2 scale for the fun factor for the SERG's, the SEEG should be at least a 2.4!

I'm digging this boatload scale.  Just called a good friend and told her she was at least .8 or .9 boatload.  Don't think she took it quite the way it was meant ??? .

Guess you will not be getting a "boatload" anytime soon (from her anyway) :huepfenlol2:

It was Carol.  She's supposed to be here in a few minutes to head out for dinner and a late movie.  We'll see if she shows ::) .

My Brotha timing on that particular statement may have been just a tad bit off. May have been better suited for when she was leaving preferably after breakfast w/a higher rating. :2vrolijk_21:
