Gene & Georgettis is a regular stop for me when in Chicago. Excellent!  So is Gibsons.  Also like the Chop House there & used to always eat at Lawry's. And Smith & Wollenskis on the river. Yum!

Been to Smith's in Miami - also great. Ruth's C. in Ft. Liquordale, and Morton's in Palm B.  Burt & Jacks (closed?) was good too in F.L. Thought Shula's (Miami Lakes) was good, but not as good the few times I have been there as RC or Mortons.  In the Keys we eat - Keys food, not steak.

Usually end up at the Turtle Club in Naples.  Best steak I have found there is Flemings.

Used to have a conference in Naples very year.  Great off shore islands - kinda pricey.  So I never bought one.......

I crack myself up.

In Meeami it is Smith and Wolenski's at the Government Cut.  Nice place to eat, right on the water.  The truffled mac and cheese rules...

Ruths Chris are in Ft Laudy, WPB, a Morton's here too. The keys, well should be eating keys food there...wings, grouper dogs and beer.  I don't know about Naples.

We also have Raindancers (soso) and the venerable Okeechobee Steakhouse, however it has slipped over the last few years for me as they refuse to carry good wine and hire a friggin cook that knows how to cook steaks.

Berns is one of the best I have ever been to and I have been to a few of the worlds best in my days travelling.

I think the best is Fordie's in Vancouver, Alberta grass fed and dry aged cow, are you kidding me..? And the vino, mardon!

Chicago has a Smith and Wolenski's overlooking the Chicago River...also a great spot.

Yep, lots of great Chicago steakhouses - Mortons, Magnum, Ruth Chris's, The Pump Room....

If you like Chicago blues, you would love this place (and it's right down the street from S&W).   :2vrolijk_21:

Speakin of the Palm, you think they're steak is good? Try havin their lobster. Steam cooked to perfection. Min 3 lb'er. And you have no choice in the size. You just order the lobster. BTW, that's the trick to gettin in when it's packed. Tell em you're having the steamed lobster. They sit ya right away so they can still load ya up with appetizers and  :drink: before your lobster comes. They put it up when ya tell em you're having it and seat ya right away. ;)

That sounds like heaven on Earth, Howie.  Will have to order that one.

Hot dogs from street vendors are great, too, but do not want to know much about how they sanitize (if they ever do?). And the pizza....

But don't get me started on the Pizza. Used to be that Pizzerias were owned by Italians who took their Pizza seriously. As it should be! Now thay're owned by everyone but the occasional Italian family. So you have to know where togo to get the GOOD CHIT!!! I take my Pizza seriously, and know where to get the GOOD CHIT!!! :2vrolijk_21:
