If you're talking about my post concerning not taking what "BamaHarleyDude" as gospel it's because he used to belong here and was known for speaking w/fork tongue and not knowing what the he!! he was talking about. In regards to the fix I'm not doubting that, but taking his word as a reliable source.... well that's an all together different story. Is there any way to tell the date the bike was assembled via the VIN? I picked mine up on April 20. Does that mean my bike has the "new" parts? Tomorrow being Sunday, I can't get to my SM til Monday. Or do I just Wait and see? He's also leaving for Vegas this week for their meeting and unveiling.

I believe there is a date stamped on the VIN plate for the date of production.
