Very nice, thanks for sharing. Looking at those pictures are especially nice today as we roast on the east coast. :sweatdrop:

Thanks for the pics Craig.  You're lucky to have that 'loop' available for a day ride.  That sidehack is too cool.....I'm guessing it's a 'one-off'.  8) spyder

Thanks, only sad part is once out of the west side of Rocky Mountain Park, in Grand Lake/Granby there has been a bad infestation of pine beetles that kill ponderosa pines, which are 90% of the pines there. The mountain sides are a rust brown with dead trees.

Yes it is very sad. On our weekend trip on 7/12 and 7/13 all around your area we saw all the devastation caused by the beetles. Especially around Lake Dillon. Wow! Between that and the fires over the past several years Colorado's getting hit hard.

The sidecar body is made from wood, like an old boat. Notice the fishing pole sticking out of the sidecar?

Looks like the nose of a Curtiss airboat

The bike was really nice, well taken care of, the sidecar had a wooden dash with a radio in it.  Looks like a wooden torpedo!

Nige, just before you leave you should start a ride thread so people who meet up with you can post pictures and comments. Just a thought. When do you leave?

Sounds like a good idea. We leave on the 30th July - arrive 1545 in Calgary the same day. Where do you propose I put the ride thread? I guess I will also be able to access it myself from hotel internet sites etc. and update accordingly.

Not long now.
