Hey Guys

My SE Ultra is still at the stealer getting the tour pack detatched.   I need to find a solo seat asap that will fit my bike. 

What do you guys recommend?? Any pics would be great also.   I like the look of the solo seat with the rear fender exposed.

Check out corbin. They have several solos for the FL's.

I have a set up like this on my RK.  Passenger pillion is removable.

The only problem with Corbin is that its a 4-6 week wait.

Mine is corbin, it is going back to be re-covered in something that does not look like chit (small gator, don't do it) and get the pan shaped so that it fits......better

This company used to be the nuts now, I don't know, some folks have been fine, luckily, maybe I just got schtupped, no biggie it happens to some now and then. Training craftsmen in a sweatshop ain't the best way to obtain top notch results...but it is comfy...

The corbins are nice.   One member has a danny grey that looked very nice.....     Are they any good?

Just got off the phone with danny grey.  They have one called the weekday solo with tribal stitching for about 290.00. 

I wonder if it will be comfortable enough for me.  I am short 5'6.      I dont want to fly off the back when I hit the gas.

A back rest really helps...That is one reason why opted corbin, the removable backrest..

Why do you have to send it back?  How much was yours?

I did not like the "small gator" pattern.  Thin and looks lousy.  It lifted off the seat foam.  The pan is crooked on the nose. looks lousy.
My old dual tour was made with saddle leather, really thick, durable.  I paid big bucks for the solo with backrest and a passenger pillion(which I had to modify to get my ktp to fit) was around 6 bills, I think, it was 2 years ago....

Any one know of a company that sells the seat rail, that goes around the rear of a Corbin, or similar seat?
kind of makes it look old school, something like the MoCo makes for the softail solo.
While we're on this subject, whats the best way to remove that plastic film the MoCo puts under the seats to protect the paint?

Corbin is about 100 more.   Without heat or backrest of course.

Co=bin sells the rail.  The film peelas off...Alittle heat from a heat gun helps, clean up with solvent and rewax.
