The engine is a Screamin Eagle 103! Yes, that made me happy. As far as the reverse gear, it is electric. It is not intended to back you up a hill put enough to get you out of a parking spot. I have already explained to him that because it's electric and running concurrently with the transmission, he has to be careful about accidentally hitting the switch while in forward motion.

The engine is a bored out 96, not the same as the 103 in the 2003/2006!

i think the reverse is more a gimmick than a useful tool, the motor will quickly burn out if over used.
Reverse is very important on a trike , especially if the person is not physically strong in the legs. Is the reverse mechanism simple to what Honda uses?

It is a electric motor that turns the stock H-D rear belt pulley. The pulley has a "ring gear" on the side for the motor to turn.

i was told by my dealer that the 103 is a police spec engine. that should mean a standard air cleaner with the extra openings in the back - se 255 cams - stock mufflers - special ecm download rear sprocket two teeth larger - 100% tuned for max torque below 4000

BIGDOG

It is a DFT Trike kit www.dfttrikes.com if you want to see them all.

It is a IRS in the back, think of a Corvette rear end.

Started as a 2006 FLHTCUSE, has 15,500 miles on it

Been cross US three times.

I was looking at your "Smoothie" kit.

           Will it work on a 2007 CUSE2?

What is the price of the kit? Do you sell only through your dealer network??

   Thanks

Don,

We fit 1985 to 2008, for the 2008 we fit with or without ABS. If it is a ABS 08 the ABS will work as we put the bearing and the pick up into our rear end.

They are sold by the dealer network. Cost is about $15,000 installed, painted same as stock paint. Paint on a SE might cost a bit more.

You can buy as a complet kit and install it yourself. You strip the complet rear end off the bike bolt on the trike kit, you buy rims and tires and have it painted

Cost of a kit is about $10,000.

Nothing is cut off the bike, nothing is welded on, it is a bolt on kit.

We just bought a 2009 as we need to take apart and work on fit. This could take a bit of time as H-D changed the complet back of their frame.

If you are in northern IL we would do it at our factory.

Thanks for look at it.

Thanks for the posts. Am I understanding that you are involved in the actual company that builds these. If that is the case PM me I may be interested in a dealership.
Your trike is very nice and the paint is all that.
