Is it home now?  If not shared elsewhere how about a good first-impressions post?  Especially if the visual along the bag's lines is different in person than it is in the photos. 

Congrats again.  Can't not love orange and black.  And that fairing is certainly ORANGE!

Jim, it looks great! Is it safe to say you're keeping the 2000?

Will the new SERG be an addition to the SEEG and the original SERG Jim?  Or will one of the stable be put out to someone else's pasture?

A guy here is trading both a 2000 B/O/W SERG and a 2007 orange Road Glide for a 2009 SERG3.

With reluctance the '00 goes on trade along w/ the wife's XL1200L that she never rides. This was a tough one but in the end I went for an 8 year newer bike that, in my mind, is really stunning. Per the discussions on this board there will be some minor things to do to make it mine but in the end I'm hoping for a sharp, fast, trouble free ride.

The FLTRSEI is a sweet ride.  In many ways the genesis for the CVOs that are common now. In their time the top of the walk.  I can understand the difficulty of the decision.  Liking what you end up with is the most important part though.  And it sounds like you're well on your way to that conclusion.  Have fun with it Jim.

That's a painful thought.  Though from a trade-in perspective it's not really out of bounds though.  The idea of two for one makes the breath catch.  But the numbers aren't really out of bounds.

I gave $12.5 for my SERG.  It was a steal.  But a dealer's trade in even for a nice one can't be much more than that.  Probably less.  A now two year old standard Road Glide would be on the market for middle to upper teens depending on miles and condition.  Put those two together against MSRP of a SERG3 and it's not an unfair trade at all.

Amen to that. In our short time together I really grew to appreciate the road manners of her. And the 95" was really kick a$$. And really, I liked the cassette player better than the CD - guess I'm gettin old.
