I'm comforted by the dual facts of "the fix" certainly having been given every bit as much testing as the original parts were given and he original parts never having really had a problem and only now being replaced to pacify fears stemming from Internet rumors.
Ok, that's unfair; well, not the net rumors part. The parts have to be better though (they sure as hell can't be worse).
No way it's about net rumors. They've know for quite some time about these issues. But they do their typical ostrich thing when approaching these things. Then after the beancounters (sorry Travis) get thru with it, they quietly go about implementing their half-assed changes. The cheapest they think they can get away with of course! Then after that doesn't work so well, they come out with more patches. All that has you running back and forth to the dealer wasting your time, and lining their pockets, at HD's expense. Maybe the dealers need the extra work, so this is HD's/dealer's coop program!

Now we all know that a new top end is required to fix the 110 right. Why pussyfoot around that and make the customers and themselves look like idiots. Because of the $$$. They bank on them not getting used enough to have to do them all. I bet their bummed that they wound up having to do heads too.
I think Hoist has more time and money invested in the fix than Willie. So far his seems to work.
So working with CR, and with Wes' investment in developing a 110 top end, I've managed to get all that HD junk out of my motor and have a proven top end on the motor now. It takes solid proven components though. Either thru a proven track record, or thru proper design engineering and manufacturing. I've over 9000 miles on the new engine, and over 17K on the bike now. If little old Hoist can figure out what to do, why can't big ole MoCo do it? I'll tell ya. $$$$$$$!!!
After all gang, ya'll know this chit ain't rocket science!!!
Hoist!
