Hey, Jim!  You need to tell 'em they forgot yer "110" derby cover?!? :o   The below photo is from this month's American Rider magazine coverage of the SERG3.

Take heart in the fact that I actually went back and looked at the other photos of the SERG3s posted in this section of the site and none of them showed the 110 cover, either.  It will be interesting to see if they start to show up on later-built ones, though. :nixweiss: :zwtf:

Had noticed before that in the CVO PDF both the FatBob and the Springer are shown with the 110 cover.  Neither of the touring models have it though.  Also in the display pictures currently on the HD website there's one that prominently shows the RG derby with no 110 cover.   So it's a bare derby cover in all the sales literature.  You know they'll say the magazine pics were a pre-production model.

Screamin,

Real nice looking scoot!! Love how that backrest for mama came out. Got a picture of the luggage rack from farther away? That rear shot above at the HOG meeting is bad ass!

As requested.

Somehow that luggage rack does not flow with the back of the bike.  The flip up tail of the rack is not right for the rear of that good looking bike.  May be tour pack time.

That's my thought. The angular w/ a flip rack just doesn't match the design of the rear end. Plus, it's small for most luggage. Perhaps the aftermarket will come up w/ something more useful and aesthetic. The flip side is that only a chopped pak is available and while the best looking, they don't hold some of the larger things we carry and by the time it's said and done I'd have over $2,000 in it. Best thing I can say about the det. rack is that it's detachable.

The back end is so clean, not sure anything will flow with that, detachable, so when not carrying anything it stays clean looking. I really like the clean look of the fender and tail lights!

Instead of being flipped up at a 45 degree angle, it should have been about 1/2 that and the flat side plates don't help.
Regarding the $2,000 Tourpack, I was looking for a king for mine and ended up with a used Bushtec Turbo instead and am very happy.

You still have a bike that we are all envious of.   :2vrolijk_21:

Hey - what's with that strap across the middle of the seat  ;D.

That color would go well with my CVO, I'm thinking.

could have used that flip up on mine yesterday!  Forgot to strap down the lunch box...didn't hold on at 55.

That is different, has there ever been a flip up rack like that before?

Strap is for the passenger to hang on to. It'll be coming off the first time I take off the seat.

I've seen both on other rides, flat and also w/ the flip. Flat would be more functional in allowing larger, flat bottomed luggage.

Screamin
I'm sure the initial "rush" of owning one of HD's hottest CVO bikes is just begging you to make some low $ mods. So heres my 2 cents worth.......

1) Lose the reflectors on the bags = 1 cent

2) Lose the slanted buggy whip = 1 cent antenna

3) Only use the luggage rack when you need to to transport your favorite bevarage or mine to a safe location to consume.  :drink:  priceless  ;D
Once again congrats on your new ride and looking forward to meeting you and seeing the bike someday. No Maggie Valley  :nixweiss:

1)  Agreed, reflectors are gonna be gone.
2)  Antenna isn't too bad. It's only like 18'" or so as opposed to the full whip we're used to.
3)  Right, rack's only on for carrying stuff (coolers, etc.) then it's on the shelf.

Thanks for the thoughts and hope to cross paths soon.
