I found you guys on HDForums.com. I'm pretty interested in getting more info on some of the potential motor problems that I've been reading about.

Well I was at Waugh HD in Orange VA today with my new 08 Road King SE feeling great from a early morning 100 mile ride and this crusty old Nam Vet pulls up on his 07 RkSE. We start exchanging info on our bikes and he tells me 'bout this site. Still trying to figure out my way around this site.

Thus far looks like some good info..

I learned about this site at the Club Hog Down Home Rally in Knoxville (Aug 24 &25).  I'd parked my '03 SERK at the rally site and someone placed a cvoharley.com card on my bike.

What a great trip...rode from south Louisiana to the rally via back roads all the way...the Dragon, Blue Ridge Pkwy, Foothills Pkwy., Nantahala Gorge, Cherohala Skyway, etc.  2322 miles round trip.

My '03 SERK is my baby...still looks new (and always will).  Bought it new in '03.  Stays in an AC dehumidified garage.  I've installed Vance & Hines true duels w/ V&H slash cut mufflers, Power Commander III, and some chrome.  Would love to install a heavy breather but am afraid it will interfere with my right leg since the breather protrudes further out than the std. air cleaner...can anyone comment?

Welcome to the site from Dallas, TX.  You'll get a lot out of the site.  I've used the site quite a bit since I joined it.

Sounds like you had a great ride...........beautiful country.........

First of all welcome to the site. This site is a wealth of info and the members are always glad to offer advice and help you spend your money. I wouldn't be concerned about the leg room issue. I had the doherty a/c system on my bike and it was not a real problem.  If you do put another a/c system on and you are not comfortable with it you can always put on some floorboard extensions. Oh and where are you from? I live in Lake Charles. Again welcome to the site. jj
