Most people that know me don't realize I'm a poser. I look like a redneckbiker, but, I'm actually a GQ sorta guy. As soon as I get off my bike, I shower and put on a turtleneck sweater. I hire someone to rack up the miles on my ultra. I fly to within a few miles of my destination, throw some dirt on the bike, and ride the remaining 5 miles. I hate beer, but I love martinis. I drink them with my pinkie up. I watched this message board for ages just learning how to portray myself as a bad biker type. That's me--a fake..a poser..A wannabea RUB..yes--A rub

Thanks Ken!

Hey, I'll wear sandals, if I ain't going far

Since I was born in Princeton, I am allowed to tell this one....
Electric company is trying to get remote parts of West Virginia electrified and need to hire a few crews to install telephone poles.
So after an extensive interview process they hired 3 crews ....1 from Pennsylvania  1 from Tennessee and the last one from West Virginia.
they had heard how hard the Hillbillies worked so they expected good results from their homegrown crew.
After a week the Tennessee crew had installed 7 poles and the Pennsylvania crew had installed 6 poles, but the West Virginia crew had only installed
4 poles. So they sent a supervisor to find out what the problem was. After showing the Hillbillies that they were far behind the other crews, they responded with...."No wonder the other crews were faster look how far they left them sticking out of the ground"

I've known a number of members of this site that are great bikers that didn't/don't own a CVO.   Not sure how that matters to the active members of this site.  :nixweiss:  spyder

I do something similar, I check out the trip distance and put the bike on the center stand and run till I get the correct mileage. Then I ship the bike to a secret close destination. I pick it up and ride to meet.  only a couple of times did I make the destination way to soon.
