Its going to be a while before enough miles go by to see if this is a real fix. The warmer sclimate boys will get there faster no doubt.

I too am in the being upgraded category.  Dropped the bike off on Thursday at lunch and still haven't heard back from the dealership on the planned upgrades.

I'm going to quote the prices from Zanotti and see if they won't at least price match if not let me have the parts brought in.

Who knows.

the "type b" head gasket seems to hold out ok, has mine fitted at 8000km just clocked up 14000km, so 6000km so far so good, i hope the rest of the fix holds up!

I dropped mine off yesterday too for the 0906 product improvement and filter shell recall

so I got it back and it still runs the same...quick but hot...time will tell if the "upgrade" fixed anything...but I still like the bike so I guess that is at least half the battle.

Did you have any out of pocket upgrades done while she was in?

hdctss,
Have you had problems with it leaking in the past? Did they tell you everything looked OK inside? I'm just curious if they are bothering to check for liner movement and crank runout while it's apart. This fix will be a waste of time if they aren't checking everything out before they slap it all back togther.

Where are you having your work done?
I'm waiting for parts to come in hoping to get it done before leaving to Milwaukee, leak is minor but seems to be getting worse.
thanks

My dealer called me today, They said my 0905 campain parts were in for my bike. I let them know that I was getting ready for a 5K ride and would bring my 07 SEUC in when I return. I asked them to look into any other parts that should be replaced, even at my expense while they have the bike apart. The shop has been really good to work with.

We pick up the wife's FLHRSE3 tomorrow from the 906 program. We will see if it helps. 4th set of head gaskets. I still think we got screwed on the head change out. How many times can the cylinder studs be torqued without issues?

I've never seen a spec for that Brad.  Only know that my personal limit is on and off twice.  Counting the original assembly that's three pulls.  After that any next time it goes back together with new studs.  Could be unnecessary and overkill.  But it's what I'm comfortable with.

Just got back from picking mine up a few hours ago after the filter shell recall and the 0906 product improvement gasket work. Bike seems to run like it did prior to bringing it in as I had not had any leakage issues before the work was done. Noticed a burning smell for the first few miles, smelled like some lubricant burning off somewhere but that has disapated after about 25-30 miles. So far so good but the yo-yo at the dealer put a small 1/4 inch nick on my inner primary and did not wipe his fingerprints off one side of the rear rocker cover. Not real happy about all this.

Just drove through North East, PA (the town) on Friday for the first time.

Would've been riding had the weather been more cooperative.
