I had printed a copy of the sample letter from this site and took a ride to the dealer to "talk" to him about another small issue. After hearing some blah blah blah whereas I got a little hot, especially after the remark about just wanting my money back and my attitude, and how he's worked for Harley  for 1000 years, I  asked him to come outside to show him another little issue, and said oh by the way can you explain this, and showed him the copy. When he picked his jaw up off the ground, he demanded to know where I got the letter from. I told him I had some friends in the business. This guy became my best friend. "We're trying to schedule the work for over the' winter, but I'll see if I can get you in early." All of a sudden, after 3 f***in visits looking to the experts for some help NOT A REFUND, he said ,"oh now I understand what you mean". Another load of crap elitist attitude.Mutha I was pissed. I have to say that this J.O. is not one of the guys that I usually deal with who have always been knowledgable and more than fair. Why is it that you have' to threaten or get hot to get anything done? (see 110" issue thread from beginning). Sorry to vent but either that or who knows.

Vent away brother! These dealers give ya every reason to feel the way you do. You were pretty reserved! I can picture that turning ugly with someone less patient! That's why I stay away from them! I hope their work is better than their BS and that hey don't spit in your food now! FTD!  ;)

This kind of crap is why I am riding past three HD dealers and going to a HD dealer 90 miles away to have the "fix" done.  Tired of the attitude of the two dealers that are within 30 miles of my house.

I received my letter today also...  Now I have to decide what to do with it...  I have a set of 110 heads that I would like to trade in and exchange for a set of the new design heads...  we will see how it goes...   who knows...  :nixweiss:

The fuel shell is #0135 and is a safety recall.  #0905 & 0906 are product improvements.

Got my letter today 8/16.  I thought it was supposed to go out on the 11th, but it was dated August 13th.  They do everything except call it a recall.  They are just doing it out of the goodness of their hearts I guess.   :orange:

I don't think you will ever hear this "FIX" called a recall. They have denied the problems all along. This way they look like the good guy and are doing their part in "CUSTOMER SERVICE".

Be Safe
