Guardian bell
« on: August 17, 2008, 01:56:07 PM »

Well I received a gift in the mail to day. Actually it was Saturday but I didn't check the mail until today. A friend of mine sent me a guardian bell. He told me how they are to be used. He also sent me a shirt from Bergdale Harley-Davidson in Albert Lea, Minnesota. He has an 08 UCSE. He travels around the country putting up windmills. I think he will join here when he gets time.  :2vrolijk_21:

The Guardian bell brings good luck from injury/death and accidents, only if you receive it as a gift. If you buy your own or pick one out personally and install on your bike, it brings bad luck. And if your gift giver install it on the bike at his/her choice you receive double luck...... So I'm told anyway... :nixweiss:

I got one of these as a gift and thought it was a pretty nice idea. I installed it on my new SEUC, my 03 fat boy dosen't have one and never did.

The SEUC has been on it's side twice already, both times because of stupid mistakes.  >:(

The fat boy is still upright and non-scarred.  ;)

Don't really know how much the bells are worth..... :nixweiss:

I agree...

Ditto that.

My personal feelings on bells are this. Donna gave me one for my bike, she bought it at the rally in Hot Springs last year. Every time I wash the bike I put a little brass polish on the bell and clean it. It reminds me of her and how much she means to me. It doesn't protect me from anything buts keeps the reminder of what is important to me close at hand no matter where I am on the bike.

I have two bells on my fatty but to me they are just bling and are only that so save me from nothing. Still I like the look.
