Shovelhead, I have met a couple of folks now at an event who were actually perturbed that a bike like theirs - be it perhaps a different shade, but still a CVO SEEG, would pull up beside them. At Patriot HD's open house this spring, three of us arranged to meet and a fourth from this site was there and we coincidentally met in a small parking lot all were parked next to a fifth. Well when he came out to get on his bike, his annoyance at not having a rare bike was obvious. He was actually just a shade south of being rude about it.
The four of the rest of us thought it was neat that we could all love the same bike and we cheered each other on on the choices of mods we had each made. I wish everyone could be so lucky as to have a bike like mine. I could care less if all the bikes were the same, the ride that we have I would like all my friends to have too. We all know that our bikes are a whole lot more than a pretty paint job and a big engine. I want the whole world to experience this. It should, in my opinion, be how all bikes are made. It should be the standard and not rare. Now that I know about the ride difference, I have no intentions of ever having another.
Some of you here, heck I guess I do too, have other bikes in the garage that are not the CVOs. I love the look of our Road King, but if I were to choose which one I want to ride..... the CVO is leaving the garage and not the king. And our king is the 95th anniversary, and after eight years we very seldom see a 95th of any kind of bike on the road.
So if thousands of CVOs get sold, that means that thousands of riders are riding the premium of HD bikes. I did not buy my bike cause it was exclusive, I don't believe it is.
So tell us what are you really asking? Are you sorry that you have neighbors with a bike like yours, or the same color as yours, or exactly what are you concerned about. I know you love how it rides. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]
