Show your pride and joy ...
« on: September 07, 2008, 02:17:29 AM »

Is it ever too soon to get them started with Harley?

Here is my son David as I was getting ready to wash the bike.
By the way, he has his own 2005 classic bagger (as old as He is) but some how he likes the CVO better:

He looks like he is just the right age. Once you get them past the loud sound of a Harley you gotm it licked. My Grandson is 2 and he sure loves Ole Punkin.

Great example of outstanding parenting! Transfer your values early so they know what's important.

This is actually his bike.  I bought it for him a week after he was born and He will get it on his 21st B-Day.

What a great idea. I've seen kids younger then him riding motocross, the earlier the better. He'll be able to do things on a bike that the rest of us could never do. Some times a little scary. Yesterday I had a kid wheelie past me on 95 north doing 75. He just rode on and on standing on the pegs. :nervous:

Now you'll have to post pics of his first riding lesson. ;) Look forward to seeing it.

I agree - it's never too early to get them started!  My Dad bought me my first bike (a Honda dirt bike) when I was twelve.  Even then, I wanted a Harley one day.  After a number of different bikes, I bought my first Harley for my 40th birthday present!  My husband and I now have a Road King, Street Bob, NightRod Special (my new favorite), FXDWG3, Softtail Custom, and two Sportsters.  I think there may still be room in our garage for another CVO - the FXSTS perhaps?

My older daughter (13) loves to ride and she is looking forward to have her own bike.  I love my kids and trying to do as best as I can for them.  They are growing up around bikes and have learned to respect firearms and love hunting and fishing.  They are among very few kids that will watch Bamby on TV and then sit down and have venison for dinner without any problem  :huepfenjump3:

Enough about my kids, let's see your kids and grand kids pics now.  They are the future.

Actually, he loves the sound of RH. on my bike. You should see his smile when I start the bike.   :bananarock:

I try to ride the old one at least once a month and every time he wants to know why I'm taking HIS bike.   :huepfenjump3:
