14" 3M Tinted Half Moon Shield, I like it. Still get wind noise around the ears, but none in the face. Could not beat the price.

Beautiful bike! Congrats.  It seems that all the good looking windshield options for the SERG simply don't work well, ie still a lot of wind buffeting and noise.  I even saw one post that the 12" KW shield doesn't "satisfy".

Congrats on the new scooter.  Looks great!

I was in Lubbock a week ago..... didn't see your scooter there.  They must have been hiding it for you.

Intake is fine...its a hi flo.  Its the exhaust and new download thats the problem!

Try pulling the tunning tubes on the mufflers.  3 small spot welds and the tubes slide right out.  No download needed.  1/2 hour of your time and no $$ will rattle things off your shelves...wife will come running...
Just pull the end caps...get out the dremmel...grind 3 spot welds and slide tubes out.

Sorry sooiee,

What you are saying is exactly what I have been told. Wish I would have paid attention to the post thread, it could have saved me alot of plowed ground. I really thought this post had been pulled by an administrator, not so..

LRebel,
They were prepping it that open house day, and didn't get it out "under the canopy" up next to the service dept entrance until afternoon. I didn't get there till 5PM. They had a lot of business that day and were hooked up till close, some stayed till after 7PM. Great folks at Wild West in Lubbock!

BB, what do I think?

I think it is smoking hot and classy.
It's a beautiful bike.
But below is why I chose the SEUC4 over the SERG3
Nancy and I took a long ride last night.  (two up)
Did we ride the SERG with the chopped tour pak?  Nope!
Did we ride the SEEG and use the passenger backrest?  Nope!
Did we ride Nancy's Classic set up for solo riding? Nope!
We rode the 03 Classic with the big papa seat and full size tour pak with the wrap around backrest.
The Progressives and Traxxion front end only complimented the 90/90 while the Hawg Wired entertained the ears.
It was a great ride!

I was first on the list for any Screaming Eagle and could have chosen the SERG3.
With three bikes (one a SERG) sitting at home right now with no tour pak installed why buy the same thing.
(and note, my SERG came with lowers)
So the 03 Classic Barcalounger with 47K miles will be retired when the SEUC4 comes in. Not sold but set up on a pedestal where it should be anxiously awaiting the chance to serve Nancy and I in the manner only it can. Since the SEUC4 will be down occasionally for upgrades the 03 Classic will be used when we feel the need for a Barcalounger ride. Unless we decide to ride one of the other bikes.
So BB as delivered from the factory that is why I chose the SEUC4 over the SERG3.

Glad your back home and safe.
You always have a bed here when you can work it out!

Good arguments all, but for a guy who's handle is Silver / Black, a better example of a Silver / Black bike than the 09 SERG has never left the MoCo's assembly line

IMHO

Not much I can argue with there.
Maybe someday when you get tired of yours I may own one.
I can only dream and hope.

A lot of the buffeting you get on any RG is what comes up from under the fairing, not where the windshield is. Fairing lowers should take care of a lot of the buffeting complaints. (I was going to do this on my RG, but now waiting on a SERG to try it on instead)  :)
