Nice pics Chanman. Vance and Hines website does list some slip ons available for 2009 Touring models but when you drill down deeper it only lists support up through 2008.

I called the parts dept where I bought my bike but they were busy and then I realized this is Street Vibrations week so forget talking to any parts or service departments for another week!

Congrats Chanman! Got the same one 2 weeks ago. I posted this in another thread but in case you missed it, these are what I am going with after 5000 miles. I want to log the miles s I can be very familiar with the engine feel and performance. As you know this bike is so smooth. I do not want to mess that up so I am going to take this a lot slower then I did on my 07 Cuse. Heres the link and a pic. Last time I checked the site they were not available for the 09 but I found a shop in Daytona that is supposed to get some in this week sometime. I'm sure they are getting them out to their dealers first so check around locally.

Chanman, congrats!  She's a beauty.  The best thing about this bike (aside from the looks) is the RIDE.  You will love more and more.  Got mine a week ago......going in tomorrow for the 1k service before the Maggie Valley trip.
Have fun.  Your buns will love the seat.

I live in Escondido. We built an apartment complex up there in Simi a few years ago right behind the mall on 118. Another poster talked about the vance and hines monster ovals. I sent V&H an email and they said Part# 16741              DRESSER 95-09 TAPERED SLASH-CUT SLIP-ONS RETAIL   $370.00
Part# 16755              FLH/FLT DRESSER 95-09 MONSTER OVALS W/CHRM ENDCAPS  Retail$ 759.00
The monster Ovals are pretty expensive and I do not know anyone who has them on their bike, the only sound I have heard is a clip on the website so I dont know how reliable this is.
but the 08 fuelpak will work but they are still working on maps and the rest of the muffler line should be ready in December. His name was Ryan Lewis at Vance& Hines. I can't seem to find a SERT in the Harley catalog. I know several people have said they use the Power Commander I don't really understand what the difference is> I now have 2500 miles on it and have experienced no problems to date. The ride is much tighter than the 06 SEUltra I had. We are going to Vegas next month and then in Nov. our Harley Chapter is going to Laughlin for a 4 day weekend I cant wait. We are already planning next years long distance trip to the Smoky Mountains and I would leave tomorrow if I could.
It would be great if you guys would continue to drop a line and let me know what upgrades you are doing, although I think you could leave it stock and still have one bitchin' machine !

Thats my plan, to leave it stock other than the Monster Ovals. This bike is as close to perfect as it can get IMO.I will not try and any type of fuel/air management to it. The computer is smart enough, it should compensate fine when I add the Ovals. If it doesn't, I will stay stock all the way. Thats how nice it is to me.

Rob, please let us know how that works out.  I was told by my wrench not to add any slip on until I put on a new fuel mgmt system (Super Sert, Power Commander whatever).  The bike runs lean from the showroom and adding aftermarket slipons will make it run even more lean.....according to him.   :nixweiss:

No disrespect to your mechanic but I don't think anyone really can say one way or the other, me included of course, as to whats going to happen. I do have a close friend, who happens to me my wrench, who owns an 08 SE. He has run several experiments with a stock gauge attached (has it mounted inside the right leg fairing) and although the changes seem to do some good at first (making it richer, etc) the computer re figures or relearns or something and brings it right back around.

No that being said, I'm only talking about minor things not a fuel management system. I am sure a SERT or PC would (thats what they are made for) surely change things permanently. I just will not be the SERT Ginni pig. Others have already added just slip ons to the 09 110 engine, hopefully we can hear from them soon. The Ovals are definitely different. You cannot see all the way thru them (for back pressure) so it appears that they are made from a performance standpoint thus the price maybe.

I will keep you posted. If they come in this week I may have to lose on the steak dinner bet and try them out sooner than 5000 miles so I can let you know for sure. All in the name of science of course!  :P

Hey that's right!!! I forgot about the steak dinner bet.  Yum Yum.  BTW Jorge is adding his Bub 7's this week in MV without a new fuel mgmt system.  I will see him tomorrow.  Hopefully all will work out ok.  I still have not decided what I want as slip ons but am leaning toward RH's.  Did the 1K service yesterday so good to go to MV tomorrow but the damn bike is soooo quiet!
thanks and take care.  Is there a Ruth's Chris steak house near you??? :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:

I believe there is one in Orlando!! If and when they come in I will pop them on so we can all get a feel for what will happen. I have enough miles now, I will know if it changes heat or driveabilty wise. More than honored to buy you a steak!!

I love the look of the Monster Ovals and I like V&H....had them on my last two SE's as you may know.  Someone I know who has the Bub 7's complained they were too loud.  My V&Hs have been perfect.  So I WANT you to be the guinea pig on this one.  My only question on the Monsters is the fit and you will answer that for all of us.  So I (we) thank you.....steak or no steak.
I got "retired" last week so I have time to come to Ocala or Orlando for a good time......dutch.
Send pics when you can.
