Texas 45 - Oklahoma 35   :bigcry:  Oklahoma just choked...... One really bad play call by Coach Stoops, a few bad ref calls, and weak pass defence.  Texas is now #1, and rightfully so.

Oklahoma State had an awesome game against Missouri.  If Missouri would have beat Oklahoma State, they would probably be #1 right now.

Lots of good Big Twelve Football left!

Texas vs OU - best game I have seen in a long time.  Longhorns now #1 & Colt Mccoy is getting some Heismann talk.  Well deserved.

Long time til December - lots of big games ahead..........

Michigan is 1-4. And the Blue and Maize faithful  thought last year was bad.

Yeah, pretty much have been since 2005, BBall, then Football, then BBall again - and a free Cohiba after wooping down the Vols...short of a bad weekend against Ole Miss, been pretty happy and see it going for the next few months.

Not like I am a fan for a team with 3 or 4 losses...oh sorry, forgot you are.

That was a smackdown.  We watched the game after the Longhorns spanked OU.

Just pointing out that Penn State and old washed up shoulda retired bad knee JoePa are undefeated, #3 and on the move up.  So much for "Joe must go".  Joe's the best coach in the history of college football.  Of course if they finish the year undefeated and there are any two other undefeated team, they'll be discounted from the championships bowl game.  PSU - 5 undefeated seasons under JoePa and only two championships?  Talk about no respect~  :soapbox:

And at one time PSU was known to have a few AAA's coming out too.
Academic All American, to all those Gators out there, but thanks for covering LSU, make Mikey happy and able to pay his bar tab!   :2vrolijk_21:

Not taking anything away from old Joe, but I think someday down the road, Pete Carroll will be up there with the greats of the college coaching ranks, at or very near the top. Beyond that, unless longevity adds bonus points, you've got to consider Bo Schembeckler, Bobby Bowden, Darrel Royal, Ara Parsegian, Woody Hayes,Bear Bryant and while I don't care for the guy Steve Spurrier.

I aggree that any of the coaches you named were or are great coaches.  I just think that as has happened in the past, Penn State will not get the respect it deserves at the end of the year.  And I've always thought that with a coach of the stature of Joe Pa we'd get more respect.  We'll see for this year how it goes by the end of the season if they remain undefeated.
