Iron and Steel Ride NYC to Shanksville

On August 22 I rode up to Brooklyn, NY to join the Iron & Steel Ride on August 23.  The Ride was put together by NYC Fire Fighters and Rescue Services to escort a piece of Steel shaped in the form of a cross from one of the World Trade Center Towers to be placed at the Shanksville, PA Fire Department in honor of those who perished on Flight 93.  It was an HONOR to be able to join this Ride.  We left the Floyd Bennit Field Air Strip in Brooklyn about seven AM on the 23rd and headed to PA.  Every overpass in New York and also in New Jersey had Fire Trucks, ambulances and uniformed personnel waving and saluting as we went by.

It was a very emotional day...we must never forget 911....

NYC Fire Fighters that were at and in the WTC during 911...they read of all the names of the victums of Flight 93....
