Yep, I got the same story...mine ordered in Sept and nothing in yet.  Mine has begun to puke oil from the breather (never did that before) and oil level is lower than recommended.  Not a happy story...

My husband had his parts ordered in Sept., dealer got them in and had the bike back to him all in two weeks or less. Something sounds a bit fishy with some of you guys getting put off.

My beauty makeover "enhancement" parts took about 2 weeks to arrive, but I was in no hurry to get the work done.  Never heard they were on back order or hard to get.

I had the engine upgrade kit installed and have put about 500 miles. I now have a ticking coming from the top end, have been back to the dealer 3 times. Each time they have a different answer   1) I wasn't riding the bike right (not keeping the engine at right RPM levels). Checked the manual (no reference to RPM level but recommended shift speeds per gear)   2) Took manual to dealer and they said the manual is wrong. So I rode per manual and never got over 2600 RPM, dealer says engine should be driven and shifted at 3000 to 3500 RPM. So I rode to their specs and never got out of 3rd gear until over 50 MPH. I'm not riding a two-stroke dirt bike but a Touring bike. On the freeway the speed limit is 60 MPH and shifting into 4th gear takes the RPM's to 2500.   3) Had mechanic who did engine upgrade ride bike and he said he didn't hear anything but maybe a transmission whine. I round tripped this bike to Sturgis and never had this ticking sound and as a truck driver for over 30 years I know when there is a change in sound to an engine.

Has anyone else experienced this??

ok......
how do you break your belly button???   :nixweiss:  lol

I just spoke to the dealer.
my bike has been there for the "enhancement" twice now.
this second time the front cylinder wouldn't stop weeping at the cylinder base, they ordered a new front cylinder and installed it this week, now the front cylinder is still weeping oil at the cylinder base in the same spot....
their riding it to see if it stops. their hoping that it's residual oil from assembly weeping from behind the base gasket. (it's also what they had "hoped" the first time)
they have done over a dozen 110 upgrades, and none of them had this problem......

if it doesn't stop, their talking about replacing the cases... at this point I'm leaning toward asking HD to replace the complete engine.. I don't want the whole engine torn apart and cases replaced.  that's like having just the engine block replaced in your car.... screw that.

I didn't pay $25,000.00 for a motorcycle to need the engine rebuilt after only 5000 miles! :o

belly button is connected to the stomach and cord/tubing broke away allowing the belly button to point out, i think she was lifting something when it happened, so would seem to be similar to a hernia. It was painful at the time and for a few weeks, but as she feels she needs a lil tweak (i mean product enhancement) she complained it was still hurting. Seems she found a sympathetic doctor who confirmed she was still in pain.............gotta work the system if u can.

Got a call from my dealer today stating that the 0905 parts are on backorder and they're expected to ship around mid-November.  I'm in no hurry beings my heads aren't leaking since I had the "B' gaskets put in at 5K.  So I told them to let me know when the parts come in and then we'll arrange a time for me to drop the bike off to have the "enhancement" done.

It's funny this came up. I too went to my Dealer today. I got the same story that the heads were on back order. I was sixth on the list and now second. The SM said that he thought that the only thing different about the "new" heads were that they were shaved .30" and was wondering out loud if he could just mill them himself. NOT what I want to have done. Right now the bike seems to be running fine so I'm in no hurry to have it done. 30,000 miles so far.

I think your dealer's SM should read the "product enhancement" announcement that explains what the difference in the heads actually is...   :nixweiss:

Did it actually say what the difference was? I thought it just said that they were replacing them.

My work is being done by Cox in Asheboro.  I called him last Thurs and told him I wanted them to do the upgrade.  He called yesterday and had the heads and everything in and I took him the bike.  He said he would call when it was ready.  Talk to Rob,  he knows the difference in the heads.

Can't wait to ride with you and Linda again.

Likewise!

I had Cox's in Rock Hill do my PC & pipes. I was very happy w/ them. At the time I was concerned about the warranty being voided if I changed out the pipes on a new bike. The owner, Chris Cox, personally guaranteed that he would cover any problems. He got my business and a lot more!

I bought my bike in Rock Hill but go by Cox in Asheboro on my way to Laurel Springs several times so I'm gonna use them.  Same people I hope.  They can't be anymore friendly.
