Post pics/info about your boat(s) here
« on: October 13, 2008, 03:34:54 PM »

Since I grew up in a state chock full of lakes and spent my summers on one of the world's cleanest and prettiest fresh water lakes, I am nearly as big a boat person as I am a Harley nut. It's been a few years since I last owned a boat and my recent purchase isn't much, but with the help of some long time buddies in Maine, some elbow grease and proper amounts of TLC and cash, it'll be a good boat for this summer at the least.

Anyway, I'd love to see what some of our other site members have for boats. Off the top of my head, I know MJZ, Hogasm and WFP have boats. I'm sure we've got a bunch of other members that do as well. Like Howie says, this BS about politics is getting old and nothing we rant about on the site changes anything anyway, so how bout we talk/brag/bitch/whatever about boats for awhile ?

Sorry if I left you out of my post, but as I understand it, in the lexicon of botes, the biggest bote in the hahbuh is a ship. Since in most of the hahbuh's you tie up, yours is the biggest, you own ships not botes. The bote in the picture not withstanding.

1982 23' CHRIS CRAFT Scorpion 232 Cuddy Cruiser. Oldie but goodie. Had this boat for 25+ years

It has a great Vee bottom  and handles the rough lakes really well.  Put a 90 gallon fuel tank in it, will run for a long long time,, 350/Mercruiser.  Tops out at about 55, hardly burns any fuel, and its built a lot stouter than any new ones. Indoor plumbing comes in handy, too.

I have had a lot of small cruisers/ ski boats come and go, but I have always kept this one around. Easy to trailer, can't hurt it, by not upgrading it leaves more money to buy SEEG's !!!     Nice little stabbin' cabin too.

That's a nice boat Tim. I don't blame you for hanging onto it. It's not always about bigger better faster more (not that there's anything wrong with that ) Sometimes the oldies are cool. My "new" Mach 1 is very similar only with more room in the stern. Jump seats on either side of the motor cover. Wife took a a couple of pics. I'll see if I can post em tomorrow.

My dreamboat of course is an old mahogany inboard speedboat. Engine in the middle with a cockput fore and aft. About 30ft long with a Rolls Royce engine.

I will pick us up a lottery ticket.
It only takes one, the right one!
If using your luck works, you will have that boat!
What are friends for?
