That's a great looking bike.  I love the Springer.  What are the brakes like, have they gone to ABS or still single pot.  Can you also expand on the 09 changes.  I haven't really kept up with things

BLM777 Great looking bike and I really like the RH on it.
Would you be willing to share the SERT Map?

As for amarillo_rider, I also have the 09 Springer and it handles better than my 03 Fatboy with a 180 rear. You can't even tell its back there.
It is a very nice bike.

Would be happy to share a map, but it probably wouldn't work if you're running a stock motor.  It's an aggressive map to handle the cams and other mods until I can run up about a 1000 miles and get it on the dyno for a finished tune.  Let me know your  setup and I may be able to help find you a suitable map prior to tuning.

I was inclined to trade my '07 in to an '09 but was unsure / unhappy about the 240 rear works - I'm a twisties man and can hardly fathom a 240 tire being easier to get around the bend that the 200 - but I buy-in to your experience ofcourse ...

Rik

Rik......Those were my thoughts exactly prior to riding the 240 rear.  I may have mentioned earlier that it seems the front end has been tightened up in the spring rebound.  It has a feel very similar to the springer front ends we built years ago with heavy rebound to keep the front wheel nailed to the pavement instead of wandering around your lane.  There is very light countersteer with this setup as the changes to the front end and wider front tire seem to work very well with the 240.  On the backend the most obvious change that would affect handling is the much wider swing arm that works well to roll the sidewall over in severe twisties.  I think the biggest difference that you'd notice would be exiting sharp curves and rolling the power on hard.  The extra amount of gripping surface on the rear does, indeed, fire you out of the curves.  All in all, a much more stable ride than any of my baggers with less rider input.

Rear brakes are the standard HD issue.  The fronts have been upgraded to a 4 piston caliper.  IMHO, all HD pads need to be changed out.  My choice is the Lyndall Gold Z series.  See the reply to Rik's post for the significant changes.

I'm curious now, what all did you do besides the cams?

Fronts are the HD standard upgrade for '09 ......

what about the motor, what have you done so far...
You mentioned cams and plugs.

Just curious, what cams did you go with and did you do anything else.

Wouldn't want to give you any bad suggestions until I get to the dyno and tune.......

Beautiful bike! Just saw one in blue the other day and they are real head-turners! Enjoy the ride!
